Minimum qualifications, work-related experience and knowledge
and competency framework: As are provided for in the Local
Government: Regulations on Appointment and Conditions of Employment of Senior
Managers (Government Notice 21 in Government Gazette 37245 dated 13 January
2014), (Annexure A and B) and the Municipal Regulations on Minimum Competency
Levels (Government Notice 493 in Government Gazette 29967 dated 15 June 2007)
as amended from time to time.
Key performance areas: Develop, implement, and manage strategic goals, policies, and
procedures in alignment with the municipality’s strategic objectives. Responsible for the effective and efficient
management of the Directorate (Ward Committee system, Streets and Stormwater maintenance,
housing administration, fleet management, swimming beaches and parks, sport, recreation,
and culture, refuse removal, water distribution, sewerage networks, decentralized
administrative functions inclusive of the related operational services and
library services
SALARY: As per Upper Limits Regulation of Total Remuneration Packages Payable to Municipal Managers and Managers Directly Accountable to Municipal Manager as amended from time to time
