- Grade 12 or higher
- Fire Fighter 1 Course
- Hazmat Awareness
- First Aid level 3
- Physically and Mentally Fit
- Medical Test NFPA 1582
- Code EB driver's license
- 1year operational experience
- No criminal record
- Communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
